Platform Conditions of Use
These platform conditions supplement the Terms of Service and define required behavior when using BioMedli.
Last updated: February 27, 2026
Relationship to Terms
These Conditions of Use are an addendum to our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, the Terms of Service and any signed enterprise agreement take precedence unless these Conditions specifically state otherwise.
Acceptable Use
You must use BioMedli in a lawful, ethical, and non-abusive way. You may not:
- Use BioMedli to impersonate another person or misrepresent medical records.
- Use extracted data to discriminate, deny services, or perform unlawful profiling.
- Use the Service to support unlawful clinical decision automation without human oversight.
- Upload content containing malware, macros, hidden payloads, or malicious scripts.
- Attempt to probe, scan, or exploit infrastructure, APIs, or account boundaries.
Upload Conditions
- You must have legal rights and permissions for every file you upload.
- You are responsible for obtaining any required patient, guardian, or employer consent.
- You must not upload documents that are prohibited by sanctions, export controls, or other applicable law.
- You remain responsible for data quality, document authenticity, and downstream decisions made from results.
Content Integrity
BioMedli may flag files or extracted values that appear corrupted, incomplete, altered, or inconsistent with expected structure. We may quarantine or reject suspicious uploads and request re-upload of source reports.
We are not responsible for errors caused by inaccurate source reports, scanned image artifacts, unclear units, or ambiguous reference ranges supplied by third-party laboratories.
Security and Access Controls
You must implement reasonable security controls for your own environment, including:
- Strong passwords and MFA where available.
- Access revocation for former employees or contractors.
- Secure endpoint and browser hygiene.
- Prompt reporting of suspected account compromise.
AI Usage Conditions
BioMedli may use deterministic parsing and AI-assisted interpretation for non-standard report layouts. AI output is probabilistic and must be reviewed before healthcare, financial, or legal decisions are made.
You agree not to rely exclusively on AI summaries for diagnosis, medication changes, emergency triage, or urgent care actions.
Enforcement and Remedies
We may investigate suspected violations, remove violating content, suspend accounts, limit features, or terminate access. We may preserve logs and related records to investigate security incidents, policy abuse, or legal claims as allowed by law.
Regional and Regulatory Conditions
You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with local data protection, health information, consumer, and records-retention laws. If you process regulated personal data (including GDPR special category data or HIPAA-protected information), you must use the Service in a compliant configuration and execute required agreements (such as data processing addenda or BAAs) where applicable.
- US entities remain responsible for federal and state requirements, including HIPAA/HITECH where applicable, and state consumer privacy and consumer-health-data requirements.
- UK entities remain responsible for UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 obligations, including lawful basis, transparency, retention, and data subject response requirements.
- If local law conflicts with these Conditions, local mandatory law controls to the extent of the conflict.
